A fast growing women's sport in NCAA collegiate sports is flag football. Nadya and her teammates formed the first ever U of M women's flag football club sport while they try to convince the athletic administration at the University of Michigan to recognize their efforts to join this growing movement by officially making women's flag football a varsity sport. In the 2028 Summer women's Olympics in Los Angeles, California, women's flag football will be a full medal sport and not just a demonstration sport. The 2026 season in women's flag football at the NCAA Division 1 schools consisted of five programs. However, there are 40+ schools planning varsity programs with several starting play in the 2027-28 season. The projection is that within the next 2 to 3 years there will likely to be dozens of Division 1 programs sponsoring women's flag football as it is one of the fastest growing college sports in the country.

This past weekend, Nadya's UM flag football team traveled to Wittenberg Ohio to take on the University of Wittenberg and Bowling Green women's flag football teams. Since these are two teams that have been playing at the collegiate level for at least one year and some for longer periods of time, the University of Michigan gave a good accounting of themselves. Every good team has to have a good quarterback and Nadya ( #8 receiving the center’s snap in the clip) is that player for the University of Michigan. Watch her quick feet as she scores a touchdown on an impressive run play.
