Friday’s Prep Roundup: Ashley gets past Vestaburg in girls basketball

 ASHLEY – Nicole Hardman and Anna Fabus each totaled 10 points apiece and Ashley earned a 48-19 win against Vestaburg in girls basketball action Friday.

Ashley improves to 2-5 with the win. Lezlie Fairchild’s six points and 13 rebounds led Vestaburg (0-8).

St. Louis 43, Pinconning 40 – At St. Louis, Jaelynn Block recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds, Karlee Rychlick added seven points and Chloe Pestrue had six points for St. Louis (6-2, 4-1 league).

– Carson City-Crystal 60, Coleman 14 – At Carson City, Kaylea Stone had 21 points and six rebounds. Cara Wiles has 14 points. Megan Dailey had 11 points. Bailey Fitzpatrick had 10 points and seven rebounds. Haleigh Hubble had four points and 10 rebounds for CC-C (6-2).

Jaden Berthume and Liz Dana scored four points respectively. Faith Barden had five rebounds, Makailyn Monson had a pair of steals and Dana added two assists for Coleman.

– Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart 45, Merrill 36 – At Mt. Pleasant, Sophie Ruggles led the way with 16 points as Sacred Heart (7-0) remained undefeated. Scout Nelson tossed in 14 points and Hayden Terwilliger had a sharp all-around effort with 10 points, nine rebounds and eight steals.

Ithaca 37, Ovid-Elsie 17 – At Ovid-Elsie, Kayla Belles contributed 14 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and three blocks, Madison Brock added six points, five rebounds and four steals and Avery Wood and MacKelle Thompson each tallied six points for Ithaca (5-1).

– Saginaw Swan Valley 59, Shepherd 20 – At Saginaw, Shepherd took the loss the on the road.
